This group will combine educational information regarding loss and grief with group support. The group is open to newly bereaved individuals and will provide opportunities for those grieving a recent loss to gain insights, discuss coping strategies, and find support when coping with a new loss.

Join Doylestown Hospital Stroke Program Coordinator Brooke Kearins, CRNP, and neurologist Abraham Ashkenazi, MD, to learn the warning signs and symptoms of stroke, the third-leading cause of death in the United States and a leading cause of serious, long-term adult disability. Learn the different types of stroke and hear about ways to prevent stroke. Also learn about the connection between Atrial Fibrillation and stroke.

Visit with military engineers and map makers, join the ranks of new recruits answering the President’s call for troops to defend the Union, learn about Civil War era medicine, and interact with local civilians. Various demonstrations and activities scheduled throughout the day. Rain or Shine. Program helps mark the American Civil War Sesquicentennial – five years of programming and exhibits commemorating the 150th anniversary of the War. Presented in collaboration with the 50th Pennsylvania Volunteers – an historical interpretation and re-enacting unit. Included with museum admission.

Sunday May 27; 2pm NO FEE no pre-registration needed Rocks, logs, streams, ponds, sunny areas—Where might they be? Lets go to find out the best place for these most beneficial critters. We shall be on the look out for salamanders, snakes, and different species of turtles along with whomever else is out and about.

Turning over rocks and looking in wetlands shall be the tasks of the day. There is much to see and do in the spring, discoveries abound in the natural world. Take the time to go outside and seek and learn.
