Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve will present its 17th Spring Wildflower Gala on Saturday, April 25th.
Considered the “Best Party in Bucks,” this annual “black tie and muck boots” event features a cocktail reception, woodland walks, a gourmet dinner, music, dancing and live and silent auctions.
The theme of this year’s Gala is “Growing and Learning Together.” Proceeds from this year’s event will support programs for intergenerational learning.
According to long-time gala committee member and Preserve Trustee, Betsy Falconi, “This extraordinary evening will showcase the Preserve in all of its springtime glory. It is the unique blend of sophisticated elegance, the Preserve’s natural beauty, and an important theme that leads to such overwhelming community participation in this event. The Gala is always a spectacular evening for a worthy cause.”
Last year’s gala generated funds to support the enhancement of the Preserve’s collection of native plants and wildflowers.
“The Spring Wildflower Gala has always been the premier event in Bucks County, set amongst an amazing natural preserve and coordinated by a fabulous, talented team. The evening is always remarkable, fun and memorable,” stated Laura Thompson Barnes, Vice President of The Thompson Organization and Honorary Chair of the 2020 Spring Wildflower Gala.
She is joined by committee members Linda DiMario, Francine Durcan, Betsy Falconi, Dorothy Gaboda, Lisa Garvey, Lisa Tremper Hanover, Lynn Holzner, Heather Lovell, Deardra Murphy, Julie Spears, Natalie Stults and Steve Swanson.
