Makefield Women’s Association (MWA) is a diverse group of women dedicated to supporting local nonprofits in our community. MWA raises funds to support these organizations annually, and members are also actively involved in community service and volunteer work.
MWA is proud to donate to local nonprofits that serve families, children, senior citizens, and those in need of food, shelter, and transitional support. Their next community fundraiser will be MWA Designer Bag Bingo on April 24th, 2020.
This popular annual event offers a night of games, raffles and prizes. All proceeds support their annual beneficiaries.
MWA members also serve the community by participating in: *Caring for Friends – assembling meals for delivery to homebound individuals; *Adopt-a-Highway – keeping Edgewood Road clean for over 25 years; *Apartment Partners – helping families in transitional housing; *Bucks County Homeless Shelter – hosting a visit from the Easter Bunny with goodies, and a Halloween costume shop and party; *Family Service Association – supporting programs and providing volunteers; *Monthly Collection – donating items needed by local non-profits.
MWA has been giving back to the community for over 40 years.
If you’d like to join their efforts, consider attending a meeting to learn more about the organization.
You’ll see they are a great group of women looking for more great women to help make a difference in their own backyards!
MWA meets the first Wednesday of each month at Sunrise Senior Living, 631 Stony Hill Road, Yardley, at 7:00pm.
