Members of To Live Again (T.L.A.) know from their own personal experiences that it takes courage and determination to re-enter the world after the death of their spouse.
Some quickly realized when they socialized with couples, they felt like a fifth wheel and more alone than ever.
T.L.A. is the perfect organization to fill this void.
It is for widows or widowers who want group socialization activities.
Its motto is “There are no strangers here, ONLY friends you haven’t met yet!”
New members get the necessary support they need to honor their loved ones, as well as, the encouragement to move forward in their lives without them from other members who understand.
The Lower Makefield chapter of T.L.A. meet monthly, the second Thursday at 6:30 p.m., in the Morrisville Presbyterian Church, 771 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, in Morrisville.
After a brief meeting, there are refreshments and/or speakers and activities.
Regular monthly social events include Spaghetti Night at Vince’s Pizza in Yardley (first Monday at 5:00pm) and Friendly’s Ice Cream in Langhorne (third Tuesday at 6:30pm).
Other special activities include community and cultural events, such as, movies, plays, musical performances, lectures, local sports teams, picnics, holiday parties, potluck luncheons, board/card game days, etc.
Many members carpool together to the various locations.
