The Doylestown Nature Club will present Scott Guiser speaking on “Berries in the Garden” on Monday, December 9th, 1:00pm, at the Buckingham Township Building, 4613 Hughesian Way (off Route 413) Buckingham.
Strawberries, blueberries and bramble berries are fantastic additions to the home garden.
In this presentation, you’ll learn the key factors that lead to a successful crop.
Scott holds Bachelor and Master Degrees in Horticulture from Penn State University.
His programs are designed to provide practical, research-based information.
He has received many awards, including those from the National Association of County Agricultural Agents, Pennsylvania Nurserymen’s Association and Professional Grounds Management Society for outstanding service and dedication.
Scott was employed by Penn State as an extension educator and coordinated their Master Gardener Program in Bucks County.
He was an adjunct faculty member at Delaware Valley University, where he taught a course in commercial fruit production.
He also taught a course in weed management for Rutgers University for 20 years.
His articles have appeared in many trade publications, on radio and television.
He is currently an adjunct faculty member at St. Joseph’s University Barnes Arboretum Horticulture Program.
