The average family can say – let’s go to the movies; let’s go on a hayride!
For families of those with special needs, every move, every activity, is an agonizing process with thoughts like – How will we do this?
Will we be asked to leave?
Can we do this?
Autism Cares Foundation (ACF) fills this critical gap by providing typical opportunities for those with special needs.
ACF serves more than 5,000 people annually through nearly 200 FREE events.
Additionally, ACF provides an adult day program where participants learn critical life skills in a welcoming environment.
All of this is only possible because of fundraising efforts such as the 10th Annual Race for Resources.
Held on Saturday, November 2nd at Bucks County Community College, the Race kicks off with a Resources Expo at 7:30am, followed by the 10K, 5K and a Family Fun Walk at 9:00am.
Post-race festivities include something for everyone – game bus, moon bounce, face painting, cars, games, dancing, and more.
The post-race highlight is a full buffet courtesy of Outback Steakhouse, Bonefish Grill, and Carrabba’s.
All participants of the race and walk receive a complimentary lunch ticket with their registration packet.
Lunch tickets will be available for a donation for non-participants on race day.
Why do we race for resources?
We race for our families.
Kelli, an ACF mom, says “ACF provides numerous activities for families like mine. They are absolutely wonderful and I don’t know what we would do without them! Every year, we participate in the Race for Resources to help them raise money for all of the amazing events that they provide for our children for FREE!”
Race, sponsor, volunteer – opportunities are endless on how you can be a part of the Race for Resources.
