A place of passion and dedication, Rakova Ballet School, run by Yuliya Rakova, offers the highest standard of classical ballet education to serious-minded students from ages four to 18 with classes for beginners through professionals.
Rakova Ballet School provides a safe, nurturing environment enabling each student to explore their technical and artistic capabilities.
Their mission is to help young dancers grow and expand to their full potential.
The founder of the school Yuliya Rakova graduated from Perm State Choreographic College in Russia, one of the top schools offered, where she was trained in the Vaganova Method for eight years.
She has over 15 years of teaching and choreography experience.
Many of her students become professional dancers with ballet companies in Unites States and abroad including The Washington Ballet, Colorado ballet, Universal Ballet South Korea, The Sarasota Ballet and many others.
We do believe in proper classical technique.
Training in the school is based on the Vaganova Method.
This Method is designed to involve the whole body in every movement, it develops great strength, beautiful lines, perfect positions, flexibility and endurance required for ballet.
Dancers trained by the Vaganova Method will likely have high jumps and powerful turns, aided by the use of the arms.
Due to its specific training system, the Vaganova Method is widely considered to be injury-free when taught correctly.
This is a method that cannot be found in any other ballet schools in the area.
Rakova Ballet School offers a year-round training program.
Training includes: classical technique, pointe/variations, character dance, contemporary, conditioning, performances, and selected students chosen for competition.
