Simple ways to make a difference

Bucks County resident Sarah Porter recently celebrated her birthday by holding a fundraiser party, and instead of accepting gifts from her friends she chose to request donations to the National Wildlife Federation.

Even more notable is that this is the teen’s sixth fundraiser birthday event.

In the past Sarah has raised money for good causes including The Make-A-Wish Foundation, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Autism Cares, and now The National Wildlife Federation, by organizing dance parties at a local church or hosting backyard events.

While there is no denying that it is nice to receive presents, the best part of birthday gatherings is spending time and having fun with friends and family.

Way to pay it forward, Sarah!
