Quilters’ Guild show runs Oct. 12th-13th

In 1989, a small group of friends began the Newtown Quilters’ Guild, which was incorporated as a not-for-profit organization to provide fellowship, support and encouragement for its members and to establish and promote educational and philanthropic endeavors for the community.

Every other year the Guild sponsors a quilt show and this year the theme is “A Thread Runs Through It,” which will be presented Saturday and Sunday, October 12th and 13th, from 10:00am to 5:00pm, at the Lower Makefield Masonic Lodge at the corner of Heacock and Edgewood Roads, Yardley.

Admission is $8 ($1 discount with donation of non-perishable food item).

Examples of the Guild’s philanthropic projects can be found on their website, www.newtownquiltersguild.org.
