Stark & Stark: Offering the community earnest support and individualized service

by Tianna G. Hansen

Legal cases can often become the most important part of a persons’ life.

Who you choose to stand beside you in your journey often makes all the difference.

You don’t have to drive all the way to Philadelphia to find a large, full-service law firm with exceptional attorneys.

Instead, you can receive the same exemplary service in your own neighborhood from Stark & Stark, located at 777 Township Line Road in Yardley.

“We offer big firm capabilities that you associate with a large city, but also provide services to individuals and businesses in the suburbs,” says Shareholder Joseph A. Cullen.

With offices throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York, Stark & Stark offers a full range of legal services for businesses and individuals.

The firm employs over 100 attorneys, practicing over 30 areas of law, from business litigation, personal injury, family law and corporate transactions.

Attorneys at Stark & Stark truly care about their clients and strive to provide them with the individual attention they deserve. “We offer that personal touch for people, but we are still a part of a big firm so we have the resources available to go the distance for our clients,” said Carin A. O’Donnell, Esq., a Shareholder and member of Stark & Stark’s Accident and Personal Injury Group.

Carin reflected on how she began her career path as a personal injury attorney: when she was in paralegal school, her brother fell off a building while working a construction job and never received fair compensation for the injuries he suffered. “My whole family works in construction and seeing the way my brother was treated inspired me to go to law school so I can properly represent those who experience work-related injuries,” she said.

Carin joined Stark & Stark 13 years ago and concentrates her practice in wrongful death and catastrophic injury litigation.

“Our job proves the fragility in peoples’ lives. An accident that is no fault of their own can have such a tremendous effect on people,” Joseph Cullen said. “When lives are shattered, we come into play to help put the pieces back together.”

Joseph represents plaintiffs in all aspects of personal injury litigation including motor vehicle accidents, dram shop litigation, trucking and bus accidents, premise liability litigation, and nursing home negligence.

“We want to help the community and keep people safe,” says Carin. “We can do that by holding people responsible and making sure the people in this community are receiving the care and attention they need.”

Stark & Stark attorneys have a long-standing tradition of being actively involved in the communities in which they live and work.

As a life-long resident of Bucks County, Carin said she’s proud of Stark & Stark’s community involvement and its support for local causes.

The firm’s attorneys consistently donate their time and talent to various organizations, many of whom serve on the Boards of Directors for local non-profits.

Stark & Stark’s hardworking attorneys are also well-respected throughout the country and “routinely called upon for higher level cases,” says Joseph.

Two of the high-profile cases Joseph and Carin currently handle include the ongoing DiNardo case that shook Bucks County two years ago, as well as the recent wrongful deaths at the Dominican Republic resort.

Any case resulting in injury or wrongful death has the potential to end up in their capable hands.
