Pennsbury School District’s Odyssey of the Mind program still going strong

This is the 36th year that the Pennsbury School District will be participating in this international problem-solving competition. Over a thousand students, coaches and parents have participated in the program. All of these people have benefitted from the camaraderie and academic challenges the program has offered.

Pennsbury has also been very competitive. The district has sent a team to the World Finals 32 out of the last 35 years. Accompanying this article is a picture of the middle school team that successfully competed in the Southeast PA competition, the Pennsylvania State competition, and the World competition held at Michigan State University this past Memorial Day weekend.

Would you like to become involved with this exciting program? Each year Odyssey of the Mind issues five creative problem-solving challenges to students of all ages. These challenges focus on science, technology, engineering, math and the arts. Students present the solution to these challenges within an eight-minute theatrical performance.

Follow their website at Pennsburyom.com for information about the program and when teams will be forming. Visit the Pennsbury Odyssey of the Mind Association Facebook page to add your comments and memories of the program!
