Pennsbury Chorus announces 20th anniversary

The Pennsbury Community Chorus, a choral ensemble that features members from Bucks and surrounding counties, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this season.

Also the PCC, which is comprised of amateur and professional singers alike, and which rehearses and performs a choral repertoire that spans from classical to contemporary, is welcoming new singers.

Lindsey Strauss, choral director at Pennsbury High School and a PHS alum, serves as the ensemble’s Artistic Director and will lead the ensemble through rehearsals and performances.

Lindsey also serves as Music Director for PHS’ Annual Musical Theatre Production.

The PCC rehearses 7:30pm on Monday evenings at Keller Hall in the Pennsbury High School West Campus, located at 608 South Olds Boulevard in Fairless Hills.

The first rehearsal of the season will take place on Monday, September 9th.

The winter season will include the G.F. Handel’s Messiah (First Part) and the Hallelujah Chorus, as well as a Candlelight Carol sing-along with elementary school singers from the area.

The Winter Concert will take place on Saturday, December 14th at 3:00pm in Keller Hall.

The spring season will culminate in a concert celebrating the PCC’s 20 years with an all Rodgers & Hammerstein concert on May 2nd, 2020.
