Yardley Friends Meeting seeking vendors for flea market

Yardley Friends Meeting looks forward to hosting their 64th Annual Flea Market this coming September 7th, from 8:00am to 3:00pm.

The organizers are seeking vendors who would like to sell their interesting wares for the unbeatable price of $25 per reserved space.

To reserve a spot or find out more, contact Doreen Gage at 267-793-0101 or e-mail yfmfleamarket@gmail.com.

This flea market is part of the rich history of the town of Yardley.

In 1955, Yardley Friends Meeting moved to its current location at 65 N. Main Street, just down the road from Lake Afton.

Prior to that, the Meeting had been located further south on Main Street. In 1955 in the new location, the members of the Meeting held their first flea market.

The ladies of the Meeting at the time put on a bake sale and sold their special turkey salad sandwiches, hot dogs, and sausage, peppers and onions.

Some of these same foods will be sold at this September’s market (as well as vegetarian options).
