Like many veterinarians, Dr. Spera knew since she was a little girl that she wanted to “grow up and take care of animals.”
She chose to practice medicine as a veterinarian because it combined her compassion for animals and her love of science.
She graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelors degree in Veterinary and Biomedical Science and went on to earn her veterinary degree from The Ohio State University.
Dr. Spera returned to Newtown and is thrilled to be a part of the VCA Neshaminy Animal Hospital family, the same hospital where her very own pets were treated throughout their lives.
She is happy that she is now able to fulfill her dream of helping people by treating their pets as the family members they are.
Dr. Spera had dogs her entire life until she left for college, where she adopted her beautiful rescue cat, Lucy.
In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, hiking, kayaking, travelling and spending time in Long Beach Island, NJ.
