Langhorne Rotary news

Robert “Bob” Osterhout is the Commander of the American Legion Jesse Soby Post #148 in Langhorne.

He has been a member for 18 years and is in his sixth year serving as Post Commander.

He works with his team at the post to provide numerous veteran service projects.

This year he and his members organized the annual Memorial Day Parade, which in 2019 was the ‘100th’ parade and commemorated the 100 years of the American Legion in Langhorne.

For his outstanding service to Veterans and our community the Rotary Club of Langhorne is pleased to recognize Robert Osterhout as their Person of Inspiration for June 2019.

This year Langhorne Rotary awarded T. Walter Styer scholarships worth $1000 to seniors Josephine Bursk, Palak Patel, Taylor Regensburger, and Sydney Swope from Neshaminy High School.

Also senior Jazalynn Grocholski from the Bucks County Technical High School was awarded $1000 from the Eugene W. Hieber Scholarship fund.

The students had the pleasure to ride in the Langhorne Memorial Day Parade and will be recognized on August 8th at a Rotary meeting.

On June 11th, 40 members of the EarlyAct program sponsored by the Langhorne and Feasterville Rotary at the Tawanka Elementary were presented certificates.

Six faculty advisors were also recognized.

And at the Rotary meeting on June 13th, the Neshaminy High School Interact Club core members presented a program about their year’s programs and projects.
