Laundry Depot: Giving your local laundromat a hometown feel

by Tianna G. Hansen

Whether you’re looking for a clean place to do your laundry, or someone to do your laundry for you (yes, that’s possible!), you’ll want to check out your nearest Laundry Depot!

With five locations across Bucks County and New Jersey (in Penndel, Newtown, Morrisville, Ewing and their newest location, Burlington), there’s a Laundry Depot near you.

Penndel’s location has undergone a revamping with their new addition to the back of the store.

What began as an abandoned liquor store became a glorious, expansive Laundromat under the supervision of Dan Marrazzo.

Dan has 40 years experience in construction which helped him create what Penndel’s store is today.

“We renovated the store from stem to stern when we first took over,” Dan said.

Now nearly 11 years later, the store is looking better than ever with the recent renovation and addition that doubled its size.

Not only is the store larger but they strive to make the act of doing laundry as smooth as possible.

Laundry Depot offers a kiosk where you can pay with a credit card if you don’t have any stray quarters to use directly in the machine.

They also have a new option to download an app on your phone, walk up to a washer or dryer and scan the QR code provided so you can control the machine on your phone.

“You don’t have to wait in line or ask for change,” says Dan. “It makes the process seamless and makes life more palatable.”

Dan is all about making life more pleasant.

He’s much more than just the owner of Laundry Depot, he is also a source of hope and a proponent of giving back to his community.

Every Christmas for the past seven years, Dan and his son have cooked a Christmas meal for homeless and others, partnering with Advocates for Homeless and Those in Need.

“You never know what someone is going through,” Dan says. “It’s so rewarding offering this to people, giving them a place to commune and gather for a warm meal on the holiday.”

This idea of communing and bringing the community together is reflected in his stores.

The clean, warm and welcoming atmosphere that Dan covets in Laundry Depot reflects his big heart.

He wants it to be a place where people can come, meet new people, feel a sense of community, ease, and support while offering a wonderful opportunity to take the drudgery out of the task of laundry.

Life is about so much more than doing laundry, but we still have to clean our clothes.

Take advantage of Laundry Depot’s Wash, Dry and Fold service and drop off your load of laundry in the morning and pick it up within five or six hours.

Even better, when you bring in 10 pounds of laundry, you get 10 pounds free with a coupon found online.

So, what are you waiting for?

Whether you prefer to take your laundry in your own hands or allow someone to take it off you, you’ll love what Laundry Depot has to offer.
