James O. Bradley Funeral Home Inc. – A family-run business where your loved ones can rest in good hands

by Tianna G. Hansen

Losing a loved one is never easy; it is a confusing and emotional time where you will most likely feel vulnerable.

James O. Bradley Funeral Home Inc., of Penndel, has been serving Bucks County and surrounding areas since 1949.

The funeral home is completely family-owned and operated in every sense of the word.  The business was purchased by Kevin J. Diabelko Sr and his wife, Tina in 1982 from James and Betty Bradley, who created the business in 1949.

Kevin Jr. has worked in the business with his parents since 2002 and became licensed in 2007.

Adam joined the family business as a licensed funeral director full-time four years ago after helping out periodically as needed.

In addition to Tina, is their secretary Anne, who has been with the business for 20 years. After 20 years, she is part of the family. She is always willing to give anyone who calls or visits the information they’re looking for.

“We take pride in our ability to educate people about the process of making funeral arrangements to suit their personal needs. The families we serve can rest assured knowing they will always be dealing with a member of our family throughout every step of the funeral process while we guide you through. We strive to serve families from all different economic situations regardless of whether or not they may have life insurance, and we help everyone create a meaningful tribute for their loved one.  Families need to know it is not necessary to spend money on an extravagant funeral in order to honor their loved one’s memory,” states Kevin.

One thing that really sets the James O. Bradley Funeral home apart is they are always transparent about their prices and what is affordable to their families.

Check out their ad in this edition for a full list of prices for traditional funeral, direct burial options and cremation options.

The funeral home offers Veterans discounts on all their services, including a free metal casket for any deceased veteran for a traditional funeral (or a $650 credit toward an upgrade).

Pre-planning and pre-payment options are available.

“Many people don’t feel comfortable speaking of final plans, but in many ways it takes the burden off your loved ones and the family will actually know your wishes.”

Above all, the Diabelko family is genuine and caring.

“We treat our families as if they were our own.  We are here as a resource and support system and do our best to maintain our prices in an always rising economy,” says Kevin Sr.

Honor the life of your loved one by placing them in good hands.
