Bucks County is setting for local author’s first novel

A Newtown author and former newspaper reporter has recently published her first novel, a mystery set along the Delaware River in Bucks County.

Janet Poland’s novel, “Same River Twice,” is published by The Wild Rose Press.

It features a reclusive reporter who inherits her scientist uncle’s riverside cottage, along with its secrets.

After she discovers a body hanging from an antique gallows at the Mercer Museum in Doylestown, she finds herself a suspect in the murder, and must face her own troubled past in order to unravel a web of mysteries and identify the killer before she becomes the next victim.

Janet is the author of seven non-fiction books, and was the 1994 Bucks County Poet Laureate.

“Same River Twice” is available from the publisher and on Amazon.
