AAUW RECOGNIZES 7th GRADE GIRLS FOR STEM SUCCESS

The Lower Bucks Branch of the American Association of University Women annually organizes a Girls’ Recognition Reception to honor seventh grade girls for their achievement in math and/or science.  The 2019 event was held at the Silver Lake Nature Center.   Dr. Shirley Jeffers, VMD & husband Mike Moser was a supporting sponsor of the AAUW Girls Recognition Program.

The girls honored were from Neil A Armstrong and FD Roosevelt in Bristol Township,   Bristol Boro Jr/Sr HS, and Robert Shafer and Cecelia Snyder from Bensalem School District.

Panelist for the evening representing STEM fields were:

Arden Williams, Silver Lake Nature Center Volunteer Coordinator and Mandy Santiago, Forensic Science & AAUW Career Development Grant Recipient         

2019 Award Recipients from Bristol Township School District, Neil A Armstrong Middle School  are Erica Morales and Sereni-Lynn Tran in Mathematics;  Also Mikayla Adamietz and Emily Davis from Science.   The Franklin D Roosevelt Middle School Mathematics honorees are Lanae Carrington and Taylor Pahulick and Science are Patricia Monroe and Cienna Phillips. 

Bristol Boro School District’s  award winners are Taylor Titano Mathematics and Mackenzie Kauffman,  Science. 

Bensalem Schools from Robert Shafer Middle School Mathematics honorees are Amber Denmark-Howard, Keira Seidman, Tris Ta  and Science winners are Peyton Miller, Victoria Mocarski, Jia Yao Sun.  Cecelia Snyder Middle School Mathematics  award winners are Ifta Gill, Gunjan Patel and Marigrace Doherty and Kaitlyn Higgins in Science.
