Celebrate Earth Day with Langhorne Council for the Arts as they present a discussion on “The Struggles of our County: The Fight for a Clean and Live-able Community” Monday, April 22nd, 7:00pm, at the Richardson House (The Peace Center), corner of Maple and Bellevue Avenues in Langhorne Borough.
Daily we are bombarded by news of climate change, environmental disasters, and other threats to natural resources and our global environment. Sharon Furlong of the Bucks County Sierra Club and Bucks Environmental Action will present on threats to our local environment, such as fracking, Elcon, and the encroachment of industry and development. She will explain the impact these threats could have on our air and local waterways, and will outline actions we all can take to preserve local natural resources and the health of our community for future generations. As a bonus, attendees will leave with ideas for upcycling around the home and a pot with seeds for planting.
