The online season at Cross Country Nurseries starts Saturday, April 13th at 10:00am, and runs through May 31st. Expect to find more peppers than you ever knew existed, and all of the heirloom tomatoes and eggplants that you have read about.
Who knew there were over 100 varieties of basil?! A dozen tomatillos and cilantro too. We scream salsa!
New for 2019 are some heavily requested varieties, such as Malawi Piquante, aka Peppadew! This delightful pepper from South Africa has a smidge of heat and is usually pickled in a sweet brine. You’ll find these on salad bars.
Pageant Hybrid is a sweet banana type. Maturing from yellow to orange to red, this six- to nine-inch beauty is so productive!
Aji Cachucha is a wonderful seasoning pepper from the Caribbean. It’s great for flavoring with the floral habanero aroma, but with only a smidge of heat.
