Spring into the Northampton Library

Enjoy these springtime event at the Free Library of Northampton Township, 25 Upper Holland Road, Richboro. No registration is required unless noted.

Every Wednesday through June, free advice is available at the library’s “Gardening Help Desk” from 6:00 to 8:30pm.  A master gardener from the Penn State Extension Service answers all gardening questions. 

Although the Friend’s Bookstore is always open at the library, a “Special Sale” takes place library open hours Friday, April 5th, Saturday, April 6th, and Sunday, April 7th, showcasing the abundant stock in our donation storeroom.

In another brilliant one-man-show, actor Neill Hartley portrays Franklin Delano Roosevelt in “FDR: An Arsenal of Democracy” on Saturday, April 13th at 2:00pm.  

The pivotal day was December 29, 1940 – the day FDR gave his Arsenal of Democracy speech. Learn FDR’s thoughts on Europe, the war, and America’s relationship to both.  A unique relationship existed between Ulysses S. Grant and President Abraham Lincoln. 

On Tuesday, April 16th at 7:00pm, historian Ken Serfass becomes General Grant in “Ulysses S. Grant: Friendship with President Lincoln.”

Today, a college education is vital, but the college admission process is daunting.  Join Dr. Kevin Bukatman, an admissions counselor, on Tuesday, April 30th at 7:00pm for his workshop on “Trends in College Admissions Today.” Registration is required.

*Wednesday, April 10th at 7:00pm – “Intro to Anime and Manga” grades 6-8.

Learn about manga books and anime animation, watch an anime film, and make candy sushi!

Ready for exciting safari adventures? “Jungle Joe’s Wildlife Adventures” is here on Thursday, April 25th at 6:30pm, for all ages.
