‘Funny Shorts Part II’ at James-Lorah House

On March 31st, from 3:00-5:00pm, Doylestown playwright John McDonnell will present another afternoon of hilarious short plays at the James-Lorah auditorium, 132 N. Main Street in Doylestown.

“Funny Shorts Part II” features talented local actors in staged readings of seven brand-new John McDonnell plays.

It’s two hours of pure silliness, with wacky characters and zany plots.

“I like putting characters in funny situations and seeing what happens,” John says. “For example, I have one play where Dracula does online dating, another that’s a film noir parody with a gangster who has terrible dietary habits, and one where a demon in Hell gets a poor performance review, just to name a few. Everybody’s laughing like crazy at rehearsals, so I know the audience will love the plays.

Admission for “Funny Shorts Part II” is $15.

Seats are unreserved; doors open at 2:45pm. Tickets are available at the door or online at funnyshorts2.eventbrite.com.
