New Hope Art League welcomes artist Anne Kullaf presenting March 26th

The New Hope Art League is pleased to welcome artist Anne Kullaf as our featured presenter at our March 26th meeting. The meeting will be held Tuesday, March 26th from 7:00 – 9:00pm at St. Martin of Tours Church, School Classroom 104, 1 Riverstone Circle, New Hope. Please join us! Our meetings are free and open to the public!

“Never Leave Home Without Your Sketchbook” Anne Kullaf will present her ideas on why a sketchbook is such a valuable tool for working artists. The sketchbook is the best way to build your observation skills and learn how to interpret things simply and effectively. Anne will demonstrate how to capture a nature study in watercolor by focusing on big shapes, getting the values right and not getting too distracted by details.

A plein air painter working in all media, Anne Kullaf is a professional fine artist and instructor, her paintings utilize the principles of drawing from direct observation and using bold, expressive brushwork to capture the essence of the subjects she paints.

Anne currently resides in Philadelphia and teaches drawing and painting in all media both privately and at the Wayne Art Center. She has taught at the Princeton University Art Museum, Edward Hopper House, the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, and the Center for Contemporary Art. Anne is an artist member of the Salmagundi Club of NY, the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, and the Philadelphia Sketch Club. She also organizes and leads plein air sketchbook workshops in France, Italy, Canada and across the US. For full descriptions of each workshop, visit her website at www.kullaf.com.
