Family Promise of Lower Bucks (FPLB) is opening its doors to serve homeless children and their families in Lower Bucks County.
With the help of local congregations, FPLB – a locally based non-profit organization – offers compassionate and concentrated support to homeless children and their families. Families receive 24-hour-a-day support, a safe place to stay, three meals-a-day, and comprehensive support services, all free of charge. Family Promise also works with families to help them find employment and to identify sustainable housing options that will enable them to regain a sense of normalcy, independence and stability.
Before the official opening on March 17th, FPLB invites the community to attend one of their Open House events on Thursday, March 14th from 7:00- 9:00pm or Friday, March 15th from 11:00am – 2:00pm at the program’s Day Center located at 1700 Woodbourne Road, Suite B, Levittown, PA 19057. The Open House will be an opportunity to see the Day Center – complete with kitchen, shower and laundry facilities and computers available to the Guest Families. The Day Center is also where families receive case management services and connections to other valuable community resources to assist them with getting back to a state of self-sufficiency.
The Open House events also include an opportunity for attendees to take a short trip in the FPLB van to Highland Park Community Church, one of the program’s Host Congregations, to see how partnering congregations prepare their sites for the Guest Families’ stay each week.
