Upcoming program at Historical Hilltown

Blooming Glen in Hilltown Township is a prime example of a farming village that dotted America.

Robert Moyer, fifth generation owner of Blooming Glen Pork, will share his experiences as a life-long resident of the village, growing up in the 1940’s, 50’s, and 60’s, on Wednesday, March 27th, 7:00pm, at the Hilltown Township Building, 13 W. Creamery Road and Route 152, Silverdale.

Learn how Blooming Glen had a general store, butcher, schools, churches, factories and doctor, so that residents “didn’t have to leave town.”

Historical photographs and artifacts of Blooming Glen will be used to enhance Mr. Moyer’s presentation.

This program is sponsored by the Historical Society of Hilltown Township, and is free (donations appreciated).
