Montessori School goes to D.C. Convention

The teaching staff of The Montessori School will be attending the American Montessori Society’s National Convention in Washington, D.C. from March 21st to 24th.

It is the largest Montessori convention in the country. It is being called “The Montessori Event.”

Craig Jackson, Mary Ann Jackson, Kathy Kennedy, and Erin Reilly will attend. An educator needs to keep up-to-date on the latest research and teaching methodologies.

One way to do this is to attend professional conferences where many workshops are available during a short time frame and it is possible to network with fellow professionals.

While in Washington, D.C., the staff will visit other Montessori schools.  There will be workshops which include supporting children with varying exceptionalities, positive discipline, mindfulness, reading education, and building a classroom community.

The Montessori School, located at 501 W. Maple Avenue in Morrisville, is an independent preschool through kindergarten.
