Fraternal Order of the Eagles and the Equinox

submitted by that crazy secretary at F.O.E.

Howdy again, readers, this is Fraternal Order of the Eagles #2489 secretary. Yeah, they let me out of the sanatorium they say it was a temporary condition. Just no more rhymin’ Simon.

Ut-oh.

We’re sorry you missed Neal’s Friday night fish fry, two slabs of haddock or cod fillet depending on the market availability batter dipped and deep fried with fresh cut fries and homemade coleslaw that can’t be beat, what a treat.

Darn I can’t help myself. We’ll have another during Lent and we will let you know the date in our March editorial.

Easter is late this year. Did you know that Easter is the first Sunday after the first full moon of the vernal equinox? That’s why the date always changes.

The vernal equinox is March 21st. So if the full moon is on March 21st and Sunday is March 22nd, then Easter is March 22nd. Get the picture? I’ll let you do the math.

Speaking of the moon, we do a lot of howling at it around here. Heck, somedays we howl at it during the day. All friendly, nobody bites anybody.

Check out our ad and come check us out at 1 E. Philadelphia Avenue, Morrisville, and do some howling yourself.

F.O.E. secretary about to sign out. Oops, no I meant signing out.
