The Yardley-Makefield Lions Club, formed in 2014, has been a champion for the less fortunate in the Yardley-Lower Makefield area.
The club has provided food, clothing, shoes, furniture, yard maintenance for the elderly, eye care, and financial assistance to families in need of immediate help or in situations of distress.
The Lions Club also coordinates efforts with other local organizations to assist neighbors with special needs.
The Lions Club:
*Collects eye glasses and hearing aids to be recycled for those in need;
*Collects and donates bags filled with toiletries and snacks to the homeless shelters;
*Runs food drives throughout the year;
*Donates gifts to seniors in the Christmas Angel Program;
*Donates funds to Operation Warm and the LYFT Program through the Pennsbury School District;
*Donates funds to the Pennsbury School District Helping Hands Fund;
Sponsors community events for diabetes awareness.Throughout the year, the Lions Club also sponsors fundraising events to raise money for community programs and assistance.
Some of these events include: Cruise Night sponsorship, Trenton Thunder game, car washes, raffle baskets, food drives, water sales, and LMT Community Pride Day, just to name a few.

They meet on the second Tuesday of each month at the Sunrise Assisted Living Center on Stony Hill Road at 7:00pm.
