Snipes Farm and Education Center (SFEC) is a farm for the whole community, on a mission to feed and inspire!
Members of their Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program enjoy organic produce for 25 weeks, June-November.
Grants and contributions make it possible to grow food for the Bucks County Emergency Homeless Shelter, pantries and Rolling Harvest Food Rescue.
SFEC has installed four school gardens as “outdoor classrooms” providing nutrition education including harvesting herbs and fresh ingredients from the school gardens and hands-on cooking.
Snipes Farm is a campus for three seasons of field trips!
The woods, fields, gardens, greenhouses and creek allow natural learning and discovery.
Fundraising allows SFEC to bring programs to young people in low-income schools. Snipes Farm Day Camp serves ages 5-11 for nine weeks, June-August.
Campers have adventures in the woods, by the creek and caring for animals. Kids tend their own garden, cook their own healthy snacks, sing, play games, do arts and crafts and make special friends. Camp Leadership Program (CLP), ages 12-14, provides service opportunities, team building, and leadership training with lots of fun along the way!
Their Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program, ages 15-17, helps camp run smoothly while teaching job skills.
Hands-on classes for adults include organic gardening, beekeeping, fermentation, cooking and herbal medicine.
Snipes Farm makes big things happen in our local community.
They invite you to attend a class, eat their organic produce, send a child to camp, recommend them to a friend, consider volunteering or donate to support our programs.
