The mission of Philabundance is to drive hunger from our communities today and end hunger forever.
It serves approximately 90,000 people per week, 30% of whom are children and 16% are seniors.
Others Philabundance serves include the working class, college students and single parents.
In 2018, Philabundance distributed more than 26 million pounds of food to those in need across the nine counties it serves, including Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia in Pennsylvania, and Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Salem in New Jersey. Philabundance provides food to 350 partner agencies – such as shelters, emergency kitchens and soup kitchens –and at locations where people access other services, including hospitals, libraries and schools.
There are more than 700,000 people in Philabundance’s service area who go to bed at night not knowing where their next meal will come from, or if they’ll have one at all.
