Assisting students in post-high school education

Ninety-six graduates of Pennsbury High School (PHS) received $150,000 in scholarships from the Pennsbury Scholarship Foundation (PSF) in 2018 as part of its mission to help students in their quest for post-high school education.

Through its 62+ years in existence, nearly 1,700 students have benefited from scholarships awarded by the PSF.

Any PHS senior or graduate pursuing qualifying post-secondary education may apply.

Pennsbury students who are planning for college or other post-secondary education programs are encouraged to learn about the requirements and application process early in high school so as to maximize their chances of qualifying for a scholarship.

PHS graduates can apply for a scholarship every year they are enrolled in a qualifying post-secondary education program.

All scholarships are based on four equally-weighted criteria: academic achievement, financial need, character and leadership, and awards are comprised of one-half grant and one-half zero-interest loan.

The 2019 application is available on the PSF website,, and in the PHS guidance offices in early 2019.

The deadline for submission of all application components is May 1st, 2019.

The screening of applications will be held on June 2nd, 2019. Community volunteers are invited to participate and should contact PSF for more information.

2019 scholarship recipients will receive their awards at a reception held on Tuesday, June 25th, 2019.

In order to continue its mission of assisting PHS graduates in their pursuit of higher education, the PSF relies heavily on contributions and support from the community.

Through its new Donor Giving Program and its longstanding Namesake Scholarship Program, there are several ways to maximize the impact of your donation.
Please contact the PSF for complete details about these opportunities.

The success of the PSF depends on the generosity of many, and the impact of a gift in any amount is significant.

The PSF is governed by an independent, all-volunteer Board of Directors.

The PSF is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, all donations are tax-deductible for federal income tax purposes to the fullest extent of the law, and will be acknowledged.
Anyone interested in donating to the PSF, establishing an endowment, or obtaining more information should e-mail or call 215-428-4145.
