Newtown Arts Company opens 2019 season with Cinderella and Snow White

Newtown Arts Company kicks off their 36th season of live performances at Newtown Theatre on March 9th with two performances of its Classics for Kids production, Tales from the Brothers Grimm.

This original adaptation written by Jim Banar features two classic fairy tales – Cinderella and The Little Snow-white.

Auditions for kids ages 6–16 are February 19th and 20th.

Next up is the musical farce A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, April 11th–17th, followed by the thriller Deathtrap, June 13th–17th; the musical comedy Damn Yankees, August 1st–7th; and Tennessee Williams’ Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, October 17th–23rd.

The beloved musical Oliver completes the season December 5th–11th.

Aspiring young actors may register for the popular Stars of Tomorrow summer theater program, July 15th–19th.
