New singers welcome at Pennsbury Community Chorus

The Pennsbury Community Chorus, a community choral ensemble that features members from Bucks and surrounding counties, is welcoming new singers for its 19th season.

Amateur and professional singers alike rehearse choral repertoire that spans classical, contemporary, and popular choral works.

Lindsey Strauss, choral director at Pennsbury High School and a PHS alum, serves as the ensemble’s Artistic Director.

Her experiences as a choral musician and conductor will guide singers of all backgrounds through winter and spring concerts.

The Community Chorus rehearses 7:30pm, Monday evenings at Keller Hall in the Pennsbury High School West Campus located at 608 S. Olds Boulevard in Fairless Hills.

They always welcome new singers to their rehearsals.

They are currently preparing for their Spring Concert, “If Music Be the Food of Love.”

Two major pieces will be Eric Whitacre’s “Five Hebrew Love Songs” and movements from Brahms’ “Liebeslieder Waltzes.”

This concert takes place on Saturday, May 4th. New singers are also welcome at their rehearsal on Monday, February 4th.

Interested singers should visit the website at www.pennsburycommunitychorus.org and e-mail Lindsey Strauss at lstrauss2@pennsburysd.org.
