Jesse W. Soby American Legion Post #148

Celebrating 100 years!

This year in Langhorne will be a very special one for the members of Jesse W. Soby American Legion Post # 148.

The Post will celebrate turning 100 years since the approval of their first charter, which was approved on July 24th, 1919.

They may be one of the few posts that turn 100 years old at the same time as the American Legion founding organization does on March 15th, 2019.

Their members have begun planning for a 100-year Parade on Memorial Day in May.

They are hoping to make this Parade and Commemoration one to remember here in Langhorne.

Their Parade Committee is open to any new ideas or suggestions that any local community members may have or any new groups that would like to march in the Parade.

The Parade Committee chairman is Senior Vice Commander Don Minnick and can be reached at motown411@verizon.net.

Don will be able to provide any additional information that anyone may request.

For more information on the Post, visit their website www.jessesoby.org, e-mail them at jessesobypost@gmail.com or call 215-757-3056.

The Post is located at 115 W. Richardson Avenue in Langhorne.
