The Friends of Lake Afton (FOLA), is a 501(c)3 civic non-profit organization that’s been committed to restoring, improving, protecting and maintaining Lake Afton and the public areas surrounding the Lake for all to enjoy since 1969.
Lake Afton is maintained throughout the year by a number of routine services such as the following:
*Biological treatments in the warmer months to control algae;
*Aerator maintenance and the electric bills for the aerators;
*Cleaning of the Lake’s inlets and outlets;
*Providing landscaping supplies and services throughout the year and on our Volunteer Clean-up days.
Thanks to a generous donation by AT&T, this year’s maintenance expenses are paid for. FOLA can now focus on an urgent safety issue – ground erosion along Lake Afton.
Please support Project RELAY: “Remediate Erosion at Lake Afton in Yardley.”
Lake Afton has serious ground erosion due to water runoff, which has become a safety hazard.
Please help them raise the $12,000 needed to make Lake Afton safe for all to enjoy!
