Warwick Township Republican Club announces essay contest

Last year, the Warwick Township Republican Club initiated an essay contest as a new community service project.

Realizing the many assets of our township, including its rich history, they posed the topic, “Why It Is Great to Live in Warwick Township.”

Little did they know what interesting and thoughtful responses they would receive and also what fun it would be to read the essays and meet the contestants.

This year they want to challenge students to envision themselves in Warwick Township in 1733, the year of its founding.

“What would your life have been like in 1733 and what would you have imagined as you looked into the future?” has evolved as this year’s topic.

Fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students living in Warwick Township are invited to send their entries to warwickessay@gmail.com with a deadline of January 21st, 2019.

$150 first prize, $100 second prize, and $50 third prize will be awarded.
