Come out to celebrate tree lightings and welcome the holiday season

Tree lightings mark the beginning of the holiday season and are a large event in Bucks County.

You won’t want to miss the 40th Annual Festival of Trees at Pearl S. Buck House & Historic Site, 520 Dublin Road, Perkasie.

This wondrous and magical event occurs daily from November 13th through December 30th.

View the rooms of Pearl S. Buck’s iconic Bucks County stone farmhouse, a National Historic landmark, as they come alive with the glow of holiday decorations.

This event showcases beautiful trees and vignettes designed by some of Bucks County’s best artists/decorators and local community groups.

The Festival of Trees is one of the most unique and historic holiday traditions in the regions, where visitors have the chance to vote for the best display.

Next up is the notorious Tree Lighting at The Shops at Valley Square, Route 611 at Street Road, Warrington on Friday, November 16th.

This event is free to attend and begins at 6:00pm when Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive to help light the tree.

Stick around to enjoy live music from 7:00 until 8:00pm.

There will be free hot chocolate and free glow sticks to the first 500 children.

Please bring canned goods or non-perishable items for a great cause – a food drive for Philabudance!

The whole family will enjoy this event as you joing the community for a fun night to ring in the holidays.

Celebrate the annual Grand Illumination Celebration at Peddler’s Village on Friday, November 16th, located at Route 202 and 263, Lahaska.

This event is free to attend and is from 6:00 until 9:00pm.

The Season of Lights begins with this celebration; shops are open until 10:00pm to keep of the Merchants’ Open House Weekend!

Santa switches on the tree lights at 6:15pm and The Gingerbread Display begins.

Enjoy complimentary hot apple cider and marshmallow roasting; enjoy tasty food and drink at any of the eateries, tasting rooms and food trucks and get a jump on holiday shopping!

Hosted by Discover Doylestown, come out for the 104th Annual Tree Lighting at State and Main Street in Doylestown on Friday, November 23rd from 5:00 to 8:00pm.

Music performances being at 5:00pm followed by Santa’s arrival by fire truck at 6:30pm in order to light the tree.

Bring the kids to see him in his cottage at State and Hamilton afterward.

Look for the Holiday Magic with strolling carolers, holiday characters and more.

This event is free to attend.

Don’t forget to attend Perkasie’s 109th Christmas Tree Lighting in Perkasie Borough, hosted by Perkasie Town Improvement Association on Saturday, December 1st from 5:00 until 8:00pm.

This event is at 7th and Market Street in Perkasie and is a traditional holiday evening out when Santa arrives to light the Perkasie Borough town center Christmas tree.

Now in its 109th year, the traditional ceremony began in 1909 – officially the oldest community tree lighting ceremony in the United States.

Next, Buckingham Township hosts their Annual Tree Lighting on Friday, December 7th, beginning at 6:00pm at the Buckingham Township Building, 4613 Hughesian Drive, Buckingham.

This event is also free to attend.

Santa will arrive at 6:30pm, right on time to light the tree.

Following the tree illumination, there will be crafts, refreshments, and pictures with Santa.
