Newtown Arts Company stages Shakespeare romantic comedy

The rollicking romantic comedy “The Taming of the Shrew” continues Newtown Arts Company’s 2018 main stage season October 18th through 24th at The Newtown Theatre, 120 N. State Street, Newtown.

Under the direction of George Hartpence, assisted by Carol Thompson, the fiery spirit and quick wit of Katherine, played by Cat Miller is matched by the challenging suitor Petruchio, played by Matt Duchnowski.

The battle of wits escalates, and drawn into the fray are friends, family and servants.

This lavish production features costumes by Jane DeKorte, Music Direction by Sue den Outer and set design by George Hartpence and George Pickering.

This production includes special ticket pricing of $10 for students who show school ID at the box office.
