Team Mets won the Spring-Summer League Billiards Championship on September 17th during the tournament held at the James E. Kinney Senior Center. The Mets were captained by Fred Brandkamp, and beat the Yankees, captained by Brandon Byers, in the final best of three round winning 2-1.
League Commissioner Pete Palestina said the regular season league play started on April 23rd and concluded September 17th, after 75 games were played by each team prior to the playoffs for the championship.
A total of six teams made up the league with three to four players assigned to each team. Shown in the photo are Mets team members, from left, Jim McGee, Pat Brandkamp and Fred Brandkamp.
