SAR represented in Doylestown parade

The Washington Crossing Chapter of the Pennsylvania Society of Sons of the American Revolution were honored to march in the oldest continually running Memorial Day Parade in the USA – celebrating its sesquicentennial. For 150 straight years, Doylestown Borough has remembered the soldiers, sailors and Marines who have given their lives in defense of our nation and our liberties.

Participating in this historic event for the first time this year, SAR was represented by, from left, Neil Samuels, Clint Gardner, Richard Shindell, and chapter president Ray Minich.

The event included over 2,000 participants and was viewed by more than 15,000 spectators along the one-mile parade route.
