Michael A. Spadafora, DDS and his son, Michael T. Spadafora, DMD, of Bucks County Dental Design, work together toward one goal– to provide comprehensive, state-of-the-art dental services in a comfortable, inviting and family-friendly atmosphere.
“We consider ourselves lifelong learners and we are dedicated to constantly improving patient care through advanced technology,” explains Dr. Michael Spadafora, who founded the Richboro practice in 1984. “We take pride in using the latest innovations in our areas of emphasis which include preventative care, cosmetic dentistry and advanced restorative dentistry.”
When Michael T. Spadafora, DMD, joined Bucks County Dental Design several years ago, he shared his father and mentor’s same philosophy of delivering the best and most advanced dental care in a family-oriented environment. “My goal is to build upon what my dad established over his successful career. We are actively accepting new patients and expanding the practice to provide optimal care in a comfortable environment. It’s an exciting time for us because we are offering more comprehensive and high-tech services in addition to routine dental care.”
An example of the state-of-the-art enhancements used at the practice includes a device called “CariVu,” which is used in addition to traditional digital X-rays. “The CariVu tool emits a special light so that we can detect problems with decay or cracking in a tooth that might not be seen on an X-ray, while adding no additional radiation exposure,” says Michael Sr. In addition, Bucks County Dental Design is known for its high-tech approach to cosmetic and advanced restorative dental services. “Everyone’s teeth are different in coloring and shading. We use new technology called SpectroShade Micro which is an extremely precise customized digital shade matching device that can determine the exact natural or prosthetic tooth color,” says Michael Sr.
Both dentists at Bucks County Dental Design are committed to continuing medical education in dentistry. Dr. Michael A. Spadafora is a graduate of the internationally known L.D. Panke Institute and a fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Michael T. Spadafora is currently receiving advanced training for implants at the world renowned Misch International Implant Institute.
Bucks County Dental Design cares for patients of all ages, from toddlers to “seasoned citizens.” Frequently, the practice sees several generations of the same families. Patients are welcomed by a caring and friendly clinical and administrative staff in a warm and welcoming environment. “This is a hallmark of our practice. We want our patients to feel comfortable and know that we have their best interests at heart,” Michael Sr. explains. “Our kind and gentle approach to patient care is our best marketing tool.”
Most major insurance plans are accepted at Bucks County Dental Design. In addition, the practice is launching an “In-Office Dental Savings Plan” this spring for individuals and families that do not have dental insurance. The goal is to offer patients an opportunity to make dental visits more affordable and accessible. Through an annual membership fee, the plan offers coverage for routine preventative care and discounts for in-office dental procedures.
