The Penn State Extension – Bucks County Annual Meeting proved nothing short of eventful, educational, and rewarding for local 4-H volunteers, members, and enthusiasts.
The banquet was held recently at the Dublin Fire Hall where 4-H families, Extension personnel, and local and state representatives gathered to enjoy a hearty meal and good conversation.
Mid-Atlantic Farm Credit sponsored and presented awards to Bucks County 4-H youth members who have achieved excellence in Animal Science projects.
Following the evening’s dinner and educational program, Sarah Bryan, Mid-Atlantic Farm Credit Representative, presented awards in junior and senior divisions for outstanding achievement in 4-H clubs, livestock shows, community service, and extracurricular activities.
The Junior Award winners were: Alpaca – Savanna Steinbacher, Fairless Hills. Beef – Michael McArdle, Doylestown. Cavy – Hannah Benningfield,. Dairy – Kendall Heintz, Penns Park. Horse – Kaitlyn DeLeo, Souderton. Poultry – Mason Wertman, Jamison. Rabbit – Carly Girgenti, Churchville. Sheep – Isabella Heintz, Penns Park. Swine – Michael McArdle, Doylestown.
The Senior Award winners were: Alpaca – McKenzie Hagenbuch, Emmaus. Beef – Molly Scheets, Sellersville. Cavy – Bella Kobrzynski, Doylestown. Dairy – Savanna Steinbacher, Fairless Hills. Goat – Tyler Kasak, Doylestown. Horse – Melissa Rosson, Quakertown. Poultry – Olivia Davis-Eagan, Doylestown. Rabbit – Jessica Raab, Langhorne. Sheep – Brynn Barnhart, Glenside. Swine – Molly Scheets, Sellersville.
