Langhorne Rotary news

The Rotary Club of Langhorne met on February 15th at the Bucks County Technical High School to honor their Student of the Month for February, Joshua Buffington. His school counselor, Kathy Eby, introduced him.

Joshua has been part of the four year allied health program. As part of that program he has demonstrated skills in providing care for elderly patients and is very compassionate in performing the many tasks in the clinical portion of the program.

During his senior year Joshua is attending an internship with a local pharmacy. Joshua’s twin brother Justin was the Langhorne Rotary student of the Month in November.

In May the club will again meet at the BCTHS to award the Eugene Hieber Scholarship. Two new members have been inducted recently as members of the Langhorne Rotary Club.

John Regula, has taken a position as the IT Technology Supervisor at the Woods School. He was a Rotarian in his former location.

John Godzieba, the Police Chief of Langhorne, has also become a member.

As a result of the Martin Luther King Day Pasta Buffet held in January, proceeds were sent to the Rotary Foundation Polio Plus fund to help eradicate polio in the world.

The Langhorne Rotary is now in the process of organizing for their Family Day and Pet Fair, to be held on Saturday, May 12th at the Mayors Playground in Langhorne.
