Bucks County Opportunity Council elects new board members

The Bucks County Opportunity Council (BCOC) recently elected four new members to their Board of Directors.

The new Board members include: Ocassana Harrison of Bensalem; Janice S. McCracken Erkes of Harleysville; Roger E. Riedley of New Hope; and Kerry L. Shepherd of Churchville.

As the lead anti-poverty non-profit community action non-profit organization in Bucks County, BCOC operates with a Tripartite Governing Board that includes representatives of the local government, private sector, and former clients.

The 17-member Board is responsible for assuring that the agency continues to assess and respond to the causes and conditions of poverty in the community, achieve anticipated outcomes and remain administratively and fiscally sound.
