Last year, over 191,000 people entered the library’s doors to enjoy these resources as well as to attend 493 adult and children’s programs.
The library is a welcoming place that fulfills the 5 Literacies established by PA Forward of Pennsylvania Libraries: Basic Literacy, Information Literacy, Civic & Social Literacy, Health Literacy, and Financial Literacy.
The Free Library of Northampton Township is a true community center.
On Tuesday, February 20th at 7:00pm, the Regional Suicide Prevention Task Force of Southeastern Pennsylvania will conduct a program concerning suicide prevention.

For children – all programs are no registration:
- Tuesdays through February 13th at 11:00am with Meg’s Melodies. Children ages 2-6 can dance and have fun with lively songs.
- “Tinker Tuesday” grades 3-8, February 27th at 4:30pm. Robots, circuits, and engineering – supplies provided through a CREF Grant.
- LEAP into Science Wednesday, February 7th at 7:00pm, designed by the Franklin Institute to engage children and families in science with fun hands-on science activities connected to children’s literature. All ages.
- Saturday, February 17th at noon, the Academy of Natural Sciences presents “Discovering Dinosaurs” for all ages. A fun-afternoon filled with fossil digging and other engaging interactives.
