Association for the Advancement of Wound Care announces Chief Executive Officer

The Association for the Advancement of Wound Care (AAWC) has announced Victoria E. Elliott, RPh, MBA, CAE, as the new Chief Executive Officer.

Ms. Elliott, a Yardley resident, brings a wealth of experience in association management.

As a Certified Association Executive, her qualifications include alliance building, membership growth, volunteer engagement and leadership development.

Victoria has served as Executive Director for the American Neurological Association, Dermatology Nurses’ Association, Attention Deficit Disorder Association, Society For Biomaterials and the Pennsylvania Society of Health System Pharmacists.

Most recently she was Director of Development at the University of the Sciences where she focused on individual alumni giving, and student and parent fundraising campaigns.

Ms. Elliott stated that she is “excited to join the AAWC management team, and looks forward to working with the association’s leadership to broaden knowledge of effective treatment options for wound management, seek appropriate federal support for wound healing professionals, and advance the importance of an interdisciplinary approach to patient wound healing and tissue preservation.”

Victoria earned her BS in Pharmacy at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, now part of the University of the Sciences, and an MBA in Health and Medical Services Administration at Widener University.

Her pharmacy career was spent largely in hospital practice where she specialized in pediatrics and hospital pharmacy administration.

Victoria is a member of the American Society of Association Executives, the organization that confers the certification in association management (CAE), and a past president of the Mid-Atlantic Society of Association Executives where she remains an active member.
