Important grant

Dr. Gary Bowman (seated), representing the Feasterville Rotary Club, displays a large blowup check announcing a $6,000 grant from the service organization to the Playwicki Farm Foundation which is responsible for the care, maintenance, operations, and programming for the historic 110-acre Playwicki Farm, located at 2250 Bridgetown Pike in Feasterville.

Participating in the presentation held during a Lower Southampton board of supervisors meeting at the township building in Feasterville (from left) are foundation board members, Jim Kates, June Olsen, Deborah Bachovin, Patrice Luongo, president of the foundation and Rose McMenamin, vice president of the foundation.

The donation will go towards the design and installation of a modern commercial kitchen so the farm can host special private and public events at the bucolic historic farm venue.
