District Court welcomes Lower Southampton Township with Open House

With the closure of the Lower Southampton Township District Court 07-1-06, District Court 07-1-07, located at 142 Centre Street in Penndel, will now take on this additional caseload.

In preparation for this, the district court held an Open House last month to allow Lower Southampton residents to familiarize themselves with their new jurisdiction.

Judge Baranoski says he’s already “used to the constant influx of people in and out all day long,” and handles approximately 6,000 dockets a year with his current districts.

The district court presently handles Hulmeville, Langhorne, Penndel, and Langhorne Manor Boroughs, and Middletown Township. The judge has had his courtroom painted in a mustard-yellow or gold, which he says helps your ability to recall – a valuable skill in court.

Judge Baranoski is anticipating the challenge of an added workload, and promises to continue his method of “not catering to one side or another” in any given case.

For more information, call the district court at 215-757-6761.
