Henry Hunt, CB West Athletic Director and HOF Board Member, presented the scholarships to Alyson Logue and Kai Masters, both of Doylestown.
The students were selected on the merits of their essays on the role of athletics in their lives.
As the winners of HOF’s essay contest, each graduate will use the award toward their college expenses. This was HOF’s 12th annual scholarship award to an outstanding male and female athlete upon their graduation.
Alyson, who will attend The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg Virginia, competed in soccer and in both seasons of track and field.
In her essay she wrote, “Playing sports at West has helped mold me into the young woman I am today.” She wrote how track was “…the sport for me. It brings me confidence to know I am a positive example for others on the team.”
Kai competed on the varsity baseball squad. He will attend Lehigh University in Bethlehem, majoring in Computer Science and Business.
In his essay he wrote “…passion makes one’s abilities much more potent. I aspire to bring out the best in those around me, aiming to be the most encouraging and positive on the field.”
The Hall of Fame was established for the purpose of recognizing CB-CB High School West alumni whose athletic participation resulted in exemplary and record-holding accomplishments. The 18th Hall of Fame Induction ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, October 28th.
